Meet Dr. Randy Griffis
Dr. Randy Griffis was born in Flemington, New Jersey. He is a graduate of Lowndes High School. He went to college in South Carolina, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education. After several years of teaching, he went on to chiropractic school, graduating from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL. Prior to returning to Valdosta in 2007 to join Mink Chiropractic Center he maintained a solo practice for 16 years in Warrenton, VA.
Dr. Griffis’ family includes his wife, Eve and their three children. Charley is into her senior year at Valdosta State University as a music major. Daniel is a junior at Valdosta State University, majoring in Electrical Engineering. Maggie is a 8th grader at Highland Christian School, very active in sports and cheer. Earlier this year she received a black belt in Taekwondo.
Dr. Griffis’ belief in chiropractic and health goes back to high school and college where he had a major interest in health and physical fitness. This evolved into a career as a Health and Physical Education teacher. During this time he took health, physical fitness and nutrition to a higher level. He became involved in distance running, triathlons and eventually worked up to doing 50 mile mountain races.
Nutrition and chiropractic played a big part in helping him function optimally during these times. He saw what good nutrition and chiropractic did for him and others which led him to pursue a career in chiropractic.
Dr. Griffis is a firm believer that good health is the responsibility of the individual and that as a chiropractor he can help to guide and assist his clients towards that optimal health.
